How we Work

As visible peers, every aspect of our work involves lived experience and ensuring that fellow peers have a range of choice and flexibility on what they want to contribute and how. We take peer-values based approach ensuring actions are mutual, intentional and authentic as well as taking a rights-based approach.

What Do Champions Do?

We build on the strengths of our collective and that means we are shaped by the passions and interests of real people. Some practical examples of what a Champion might do are action groups, peer research, sharing experiences, chatting to family and friends and peer facilitation

Connecting with Champions

As champions we connect both in person and online. We use an app called Slack to chat in real time. If you prefer to meet some humans in real life, then there are lots of opportunities. We also offer champions plenty of opportunities for training and events, such as Peer to Peer which gives the basics of peer support.
